GWS was established by Max Fink, a journeyman leather worker, who had lost his job in the Great Depression. The demand for the entrepreneur’s hand made leather goods grew and allowed him to expand his product line to encompass what then was referred to as "Good Will Advertising."

In 1957, Max's son Irving became a partner in the company and assumed ownership
in 1963.

Mike Fink, the third generation of family ownership began his career in 1979.
Mike is currently president of GWS, Inc.
